A drip campaign is an ordered set of email steps built from your saved text or branded email templates. Each step is timed as a delay after enrolment or as a fixed date. You enrol contacts, and NextAccord sends each step from the account’s campaign sender when it falls due.
Who can do this
- Owners and Admins — can do this for any record or setting in the account.
- Agents and Assistants — cannot do this.
Roles are predefined by NextAccord. See all roles & permissions
Before you start
- Campaigns are included in your plan.
- Your role can manage campaigns (Owner or Admin).
- The email templates you want to use already exist in Settings › Templates (text emails) or as branded emails.
- A campaign sending identity is set up (see Set up a campaign sending domain).
Steps
- Step 1: Open Drip Campaigns and create a campaign. Add ordered steps, choosing a text or branded email template for each and timing it as a relative delay or a fixed date.
- Step 2: Preview each step to check the merged content before anyone is enrolled.
- Step 3: Review recipients. Contacts with no email address, or who have opted out or unsubscribed, are skipped automatically.
- Step 4: Enrol the selected contacts into the active steps. You can also choose a campaign on a Landing Page form so leads who tick the marketing-consent box are enrolled automatically.
- Step 5: NextAccord sends each step when it comes due. Track delivery from the campaign.
What success looks like
- Each step shows a correct preview with merged contact values.
- The recipient list excludes contacts with no email and anyone who unsubscribed.
- Enrolled recipients move through the steps and show delivered or failed status over time.
Important: Every drip-campaign email automatically includes a NextAccord-managed unsubscribe footer. You do not add it to templates and cannot remove it from sends.
Common problems
- The campaign is enrolled but nothing is sending.
- Check that the campaign is Active, that the step’s delay or date has arrived, that a campaign sender is set up and verified, and that you have not reached your plan’s monthly campaign email allowance. If everything looks right, contact support.
- Some contacts were skipped.
- That is expected for contacts with no email address or who previously unsubscribed or opted out. Add an email or re-consent the contact, then re-review recipients.
- A step preview looks wrong.
- Fix the wording in Settings › Templates, then re-open the campaign step preview. Templates are edited in one place and reused by every campaign.
Good to know
- Campaign email is sent separately from system email such as invitations and reminders, using your campaign sender.
