Contacts are the leads, clients, past clients, and referral partners you want to keep track of. Open a contact to log a note, schedule the next follow-up, link a transaction, or use a template.
Steps
- Step 1: To add one person, open Contacts and choose Add a contact. Fill in the name, contact details, and any status, type, source, or temperature that helps you sort your list later.
- Step 2: To bring in many people, open Contacts and choose Import, then upload a CSV file.
- Step 3: Preview the import. NextAccord shows how columns map to fields and flags values that do not match your lists or look like duplicates.
- Step 4: Fix any flagged values, decide what to do with duplicates, then commit the import. A failed-row report is kept if some rows cannot be imported.
Tip: Start with a small CSV (a handful of rows) so you can confirm the column mapping before importing thousands of contacts.
Tip: Set lead source and temperature as you add contacts — they are what make the list filterable later.
Common problems
- Import values show as errors in the preview.
- The value does not match an existing custom list option. Add the option in Settings → Custom Lists, or change the value in your CSV, then re-upload.
- The CSV will not upload.
- Files are limited to 5 MB and 5,000 rows. Split a larger export into batches.
Good to know
- Contact import brings in contacts only — it does not create transactions or tasks.
- Archiving a contact keeps its history; it is not a hard delete.
