Review and accept new leads

When NextAccord captures a possible lead, it holds the details in Lead Review instead of creating a contact automatically. You decide what happens to each one.

Before you start

  • At least one lead source is set up (routing email, a connected mailbox rule, or a website/form source), or a lead has arrived through one.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Lead Review. Each item shows the captured details and where the lead came from.
  2. Step 2: Choose Accept to turn the lead into a contact, or to update a contact it matches.A "Needs review" item is one NextAccord is not confident about — read it before you act.
  3. Step 3: If a possible matching contact is shown, check it is the right person before you let the lead update that record.
  4. Step 4: Choose Reject for anything that is not a real lead or is not useful. Rejecting does not create or change a contact.

What success looks like

  • Accepted leads appear in Contacts as new or updated records, assigned to the right person.
  • The Lead Review queue is empty or contains only items still waiting on a decision.

Common problems

A lead I expected is not in the queue.
Check the source it should have come through: the routing email address, the connected mailbox rule, or the website/form source and its approved domains.
A lead updated the wrong contact.
Accept the next lead only after confirming the suggested match. If a match was wrong, open the contact and correct it directly.
