NextAccord supports IDX integration with IDX Broker today. An owner or admin connects in Settings › IDX Broker using an IDX Broker API key. Saved properties, saved searches, supported property/detail views, and supported search/results activity become CRM Property Activity on a contact when safely resolvable. This gives you property-interest context before follow-up. NextAccord does not import IDX/MLS inventory or automatically create Property or Listing records from IDX.
Who can do this
- Owners and Admins — can do this for any record or setting in the account.
- Agents and Assistants — cannot do this.
Roles are predefined by NextAccord. See all roles & permissions
Before you start
- You need an IDX Broker account and its API key. Obtain the key from your IDX Broker account; never send it in a support message.
- Only workspace owners and admins can connect, validate, replace the key, or disconnect.
Steps
- Step 1: Open Settings › IDX Broker, or choose Connect IDX Broker from the optional workspace tasks in Setup.
- Step 2: Enter your IDX Broker API key and choose Connect. NextAccord validates the key before saving the connection.
- Step 3: Confirm the panel reads Connected. Waiting for first sync means activity has not been brought in yet.
- Step 4: Open the matched contact and review Property activity in the activity timeline: Saved property, Saved search, Viewed, or Property search.
- Step 5: Use Refresh status to check progress. Validate connection checks the saved API key; neither button starts an immediate activity sync.
What success looks like
- Settings › IDX Broker shows Connected. The optional Setup task completes from this connection state automatically.
- After polling succeeds, the panel shows the last successful sync. A successful sync does not guarantee new activity if no supported activity can be matched.
Common problems
- The API key is rejected or the panel says API key needs attention.
- Check the key in IDX Broker. Choose Replace API key, enter the current key, and choose Save API key. Use Validate connection if the saved key is still correct. Activity updates pause until credentials are valid.
- Waiting for first sync or activity updates are temporarily delayed.
- Activity is checked in the background about every five minutes, rather than instantly. Provider rate limits or temporary outages can delay updates; NextAccord retries automatically. Use Refresh status later. Repeatedly validating will not speed up polling.
- A saved property, saved search, or website visit is missing from a contact.
- Check the connection and last successful sync first. Only supported activity exposed by IDX Broker is ingested, and it must resolve safely to a contact. Ambiguous traffic or unmatched leads are skipped. Not every visit or search page is supported; contact support if expected activity remains absent.
- You cannot manage the connection.
- Ask a workspace owner or admin to connect IDX Broker. If the panel reports that the action is unavailable for the account, contact an owner or admin.
Reconnect or remove
- Reconnect by replacing the API key and saving it, or validate the saved key again when it is correct.
- Disconnect removes the saved API key and stops future activity updates. Existing contacts and activities are preserved. To connect again, enter the key and choose Connect.
Good to know
- IDX Broker is the currently supported provider. Other IDX vendors are not supported today.
- Saved properties and saved searches appear as activity context, not managed Property or Listing records.
- Supported saves can also inform Recent property interest, your own behavioral Contact Queues, Today attention, and bounded Contact AI context. Views and search-results activity remain timeline context; they do not qualify for save-based queues or attention. See Contact Queues and AI Assistance for the rules.
- NextAccord does not synchronize IDX/MLS inventory, use MLS-number, address, or fuzzy matching to link IDX activity to managed properties, or make IDX data authoritative listing inventory. Keep using your MLS and brokerage tools for official listing information.
- IDX connection is optional, available in persistent Setup, and never required for Ready to Use or first-run onboarding.
