From a contact you choose a template, review the merged wording, and send. If you have a connected mailbox with send permission, NextAccord can send it for you; otherwise it opens a pre-filled draft in your mail app and you send it there.
Steps
- Step 1: Open the contact and choose a template. Review the merged subject and body and edit as needed.
- Step 2: If a Gmail or Outlook mailbox is connected with send access, choose to send through it. NextAccord sends the message.
- Step 3: Otherwise, use the mailto option — your mail app opens with the message pre-filled. Send it from there.
- Step 4: Mark the email as sent so it is logged on the contact’s activity timeline. Optionally complete a related task at the same time.
What success looks like
- The email is delivered (through your connected mailbox or your own mail app).
- An activity entry for the email appears on the contact’s timeline.
Common problems
- There is no "send through mailbox" option.
- No mailbox is connected with send access for you, so only the mailto fallback is available. Connect Gmail or Outlook with send permission (see Connect your Gmail or Outlook mailbox).
- The mailto draft did not open.
- Your browser or device has no default mail app set for mailto links. Set one, or copy the content and send manually, then mark it sent.
Good to know
- The mailto path uses your mail client — NextAccord does not send that message and cannot confirm delivery, which is why you mark it sent.
