Track a buyer or seller transaction

Create a transaction for each buyer or seller opportunity you are working. Keep it linked to the right contact so the relationship and the deal stay together, and keep its stage current so the next step is obvious.

Who can do this

  • Owners and Admins — can do this for any record or setting in the account.
  • Agents — can do this only for records they are assigned to.
  • Assistants — cannot do this.

Roles are predefined by NextAccord. See all roles & permissions

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Transactions and choose Add a transaction.
  2. Step 2: Link it to the contact it belongs to, and set the type (buyer or seller).
  3. Step 3: Set the stage, value, and expected close date. Add property context if you have it.
  4. Step 4: As the deal moves, update the stage — on the record or by moving the card on the pipeline board.
  5. Step 5: Record commission inputs on the transaction; mark payment received only when it actually is.
Tip: Use the pipeline board to see every active buyer or seller deal by stage at a glance.
Tip: Link tasks to the transaction so follow-up work shows up with the deal.

Common problems

A stage I want is not in the list.
Pipeline stages come from your account’s custom list values. An owner or admin can add or rename stages in Settings → Custom Lists.
I cannot see commission details.
Commission visibility depends on your role and whether the transaction is assigned to you. See who can do this, below.

Good to know

  • Transactions are for tracking and follow-up. NextAccord is not a closing, escrow, disbursement, or document-management system.
